Waking up in Brooklyn...

So this is what it's like to wake up in Brooklyn.  We fell in love with our friends' Brooklyn Heights Brownstone...how gorgeous are the pocket doors and columns.  This place was amazing.  I really should have taken more pictures of their collections: floor to ceiling bookcases filled with old books, paper mache boobs, antique scales, and vintage photographs, just to name a few.  Our friends love to travel, and bring many of their finds back from their trips to Africa and Asia, but just as many of their great treasures are picked up off the streets of Brooklyn.  It's unbelievable what you'll find on trash day. In one evening we found a designer leather purse, a leather trunk and a vintage side table in excellent condition
