Eric Childs, founder of kombucha Brooklyn, will give a talk on Kombucha 101 so you can learn the basics of brewing your own kombucha at home. At the Market School, 224 Front Street.

Monday, February 14th: WINE AND CHOCOLATE PAIRING AT Pasanella and Son

Mast Brothers Chocolate (Sat., Sun., Mon.)

The Mast Brothers produce chocolate from directly sourced, fair trade cocoa beans in their Brooklyn factory. They will be selling their signature single origin chocolate bars as well as bars with ingredients like fleur de sel, almonds, cocoa nibs and Stumptown Coffee.

Shandaken Bake (Sat., Sun., Mon.)

Located in the Catskill Mountains, Shandaken Bake preserves the art of baking from scratch and uses fresh, seasonal ingredients like locally produced maple syrup, wildflower honey, cheeses, eggs and other goods provided by local Catskills farmers and producers.

P & H Soda (Sat. & Sun.)

Inspired by old world classics, Brooklyn-based company P & H Soda Co. produces artisanal soda syrups made from fresh, all natural ingredients and thoughtfully sourced for home and commercial use.

Wild Food Gathers Guild

Nova Kim and Les Hook gather wild foods from the woods and fields of Vermont, including many different types of mushrooms and a variety of other greens and edibles. They will be visiting us in April, but in the meantime are sending down a selection of their products including: Wild Ginseng, both Male and Female, available in tinctures, in VT honey, and as individually boxed roots, Wild Elderberry Concentrate blended with honey and wild ginseng tincture.  Double extractions of Wild Mushrooms including Maitake, Chaga, Turkey Tail/Coriolus, MaBo, Matsutake, Velvet Foot, and a blend of wild VT mushrooms, Wild VT Botanicals including Meadow Queen, Blue Vervain, Usnea, and Barberry Tinctures

Lore is a research-based presenter of living occupational traditions whose offerings reference the founder's family history of running the Compagnie Française de l'Afrique Occidentale general stores in Guinea and the Chester Guild of Iron Mongers, Grocers, Mercers and Apothecaries in England as well as a Rathskeller in Manhattan.

I have some of the Mast Brothers Chocolate at my apartment. It was a Christmas gift from a Brooklyn friend :) So good.
